Town Criers not performing paid ads?

I expect that the town criers are on some sort of randomization scheme. However...

I've used the town criers several times; including about a month ago I paid a town crier to shout something and it was all I heard for three days.

Within the last week I have paid a substantial amount of gold on two different occasions (for all town criers) and not heard the criers say my message a single time. Meanwhile they keep repeating the same cage match info over and over.

Could the system be broken, or am I just that unlucky with RNGesus?

FWIW I paid the same crier both times, the one in West Wheel in Andunor.

What was the message? I will check and confirm if you are just unlucky and never hear them shout it.

To increase the frequency you often have to buy the same message over and over again. Unfortunately this is also probably the reason buying a message once rarely displays.

After submitted is supposed to be the text. The text you told the town crier to say was nothing. Therefore, you paid the town criers to say nothing. Make sure to type your message before clicking the text. (One is how many hours, the other is text.)

I also checked it was not broken, and other characters were able to have text submitted (While some others made a similar mistake.). So just be cautious when you press enter.

Perhaps speedies and town criers should repeat back what was said before delivery to prevent confusion and allow players to proof read or notice a message got cut off.
