Re: Word of Faith - not working
Need a bit more. Nothing has changed with this spell recently I think; did you have enough Piety to cast this spell? Wa there any enemies in the AoE?
Re: Word of Faith - not working
Sorry for the delay.
100% had enough Piety, the spell cast successfully
There were 3-5 enemies in the AOE, and this was done Multiple times.
Most of the time- Enemies would not be effected at all, despite the fact, this spell has not been changed as far as the wiki would tell me, so there shouldn't be a saving throw?
Sometimes, Enemies would get the animation as if stunned (this was rare),
Sometimes the Enemies would 'reset' as if they were stunned, but weren't, and would eventually resume attack me\ the party.
Is it possible this spell has a saving throw thats not being displayed in the combat Log, or written in the Wiki?
Do you want me try to get a Video of this ?

Re: Word of Faith - not working
Word of Faith does not have a saving throw by default. Enemies occasionally getting stunned, if they are the right level, is part of the spell's vanilla functionality. The blinding effect of Word of Faith is not visible, which is why it might seem as if the spell is nonfunctional when used against NPCs.

Re: Word of Faith - not working
This is the answer, I was use to the NWN 2 functionality, this makes alot of sense on how they are behaving.
Does this mean if they are level 13 or higher with blind fight they are essentially Immune ?

Re: Word of Faith - not working
Blind fight does not entirely negate blindness either. If gives them an extra roll if they miss the 50% chance.
It is a really useful spell, in both PvP and PvE sticky situations.

Re: Word of Faith - not working
Found a bit of an oddity on the Blind page - it states that blind fight removes the miss chance entirely for blinded creatures, though it leaves them with -4 AB still. Can anyone confirm?
Regardless, WoF is still an amazing spell that sees heavy use in PvP, and is in fact one of the main reasons to take UMD.

Re: Word of Faith - not working
Blindfight works as follows.
When fighting an enemy who has concealment against you (Displacement, Ghostly visage, Improved Invisability, etc) you roll a % chance to miss. This is commonly 50%. Blind fight allows you to roll this % a second time should you fail it.
If you fail it the second time you still fail it.
This effectively squares the chance of you hitting your target.
10% consealment effectively becomes 1%
20% effectively becomes 4%
50% effectively becomes 25%

It does not entirely negate the 50% effective consealment you have attacking opponents with concealment but it does significantly reduce it and if you're fighting enemies with concealment which you often will be, then this is a super important feat for physical attackers.
However, there is also "Miss chance" which works in a similar way, miss chance is your inability to see what you're hitting, such as via darkness or blindness. Blindfight COMPLETELY removes this miss chance, however it does not remove the other effects of those status's (namely your inability to see creatures beyond a very short distance)

Roleplay can define your characters actions but when you as a player have the ability to accept loss and understand that sometimes its better to let the other person win because it makes a better story - it is then that you become a good roleplayer.
Re: Word of Faith - not working
In short you cannot hit anyone with concealment 50% without this feat.

Thanks for the clarification, Dredi! I hadn't realized that the game distinguished between concealment and miss chance.

Statistic and practise are different thing.
I spent minutes beating low level bosses who used some kind of concealment. I had to wait out till the spell vanished or for some lucky 50% roll as you call it.
Years ago, i sparred also with famous epic level kobold. The player had no idea of blindfight not picking it up. Over three duels the kobold managed to land three lucky hits on my WM. After player leveled a bit and picked up blindfight next level, managed to hit me in relieble manner.
