Spellsword not getting shield ac back on unequip

Equipping a quaterstaff and then unequipping it does not return my shield ac bonus. Equipping a rapier gives it back and I keep it if I unequip it. My spellsword is not (currently) a monk, I saw there was something with that in another thread.

There's nothing functionally different about unequipping the two different weapons, is this happening only for quarterstaffs or does is occur with other two handed weapons?

It happens with a heavy flail as well yes.

As an unrelated sidenote, Haur Haugstaff wouldn't buy back the heavy flail after I just bought it from him, how rude heh.

These are two-handed weapons. You do not get the Spellsword bonus AC with these weapons.

"If they aren't holding anything in their offhand (shield, bow, two-hander, etc), they gain +1 (Shield) AC per int modifier, capped by wizard level/6+1 to a maximum of 6 at 30"

*Edit: Derp. See what you mean. Minor bug though, solved by using class as intended. *ducks incoming tomatoes*

**Edit Edit: Literally doing almost anything else, casting a spell, equipping a ring, etc., seems to reinstate the spellsword AC. (Not sure if this is helping narrow it down...)

it seems the call to that function just isn't happening when you unequip weirdly.
