Chest trap dc's

Post by Dendromorphs » Thu Feb 15, 2018 12:34 pm

While trying to get the key for the duergar hold, my mage friend could not get rid of the trap on the chest, even though they hit 37 and the dc was 36.

As I recall in NWN you need to be either rogue or assassin to succeed against anything higher than DC 35, irrespetive of skill level.

It is worth noting that RECOVERING (as opposed to disabling) traps of 35+ DC is possible even if not a rogue.

In vanilla NWN, not even assassin can disable DC 35+. Only rogue.
