Druid Summons

It might be bugged or I might not know what I am doing but for druids on server it says:
Druids can cast Summon Creature spells spontaneously. Spontaneous spells consume spell slots of their respective spell level (e.g. Summon Creature III would consume a third level spell slot).

Yet it doesn't seem to let me do that, if I have 2 memorized it only lets me cast two. Doesn't this mean if you have say 3 level 3 spells slots with spells. You can turn them into summon spells so you don't need to memorize three?

You need to use the radial menu for spontaneous casting
