Ettin berzerkers Rage

I cant remove the fear effect the Ettin berzerkers inflict onto people when they initiate rage... remove fear doesnt do anything.. is this supposed to be the case??

It's terrifying rage, which is a different fear effect then most, I think.

It's not specific to the ettin berserkers--remove fear doesn't remove the effects of terrifying rage from any enemy.

Thats pretty naf.. remove fear not removing fear is dumb.

I believe that it's mechanically considered a paralysis effect.

That's pre-overhaul, Baron Saturday. It now applies a debuff of -1 AB and saves and +5% spell failure per 7 barbarian levels, and applies a stun effect.

Mind protection prevents the stun, but not the debuff, and I believe the debuff is what Diilicious is hoping to remove with Remove Fear.

Lesser restoration might work to remove the AB and saves debuffs, but I don't know anything that removes spell failure.
