Artifact disappeared!

An artifact I had simply disappeared from me when my game crashed! I was wearing it at the tame and when I logged back it was simply gone! I sent message to the Active Admins. I need some help, how could it possibly happen? It was too big for a thief to steal... Help please...

How soon before the crash did you acquire the item?

Over a week ago! so it was safely saved in the character.

Was your inventory full at the time of the crash? Did you change its appearance shortly before the crash?
