Description of Bug Experienced:
My Level 3 Bard/Level 5 Dirgesinger casting Song of Awakening gets the correct undead once (2 zombie warriors) and forever afterwards two generic level 4 zombies
From what I can tell this was an issue a few weeks back that was supposedly fixed, but I had the issue today
I think I am going medically insane.
I've tried to test this back and forth, I've skated on the dev area, crashed the server, did some build backflips to get it to bug out.
It always works.
Can you replicate it in the PGCC?
I replicated it, here’s how:
*I did this when it happened the other day too.. I read a scroll because the undead summoned with dirge died and the cooldown was still in place. So it looks like reading the Animate Dead scroll may have lowered my UCL?
We finally found the issue.
At least we found AN issue, that could be THE issue.
A fix is in the pipeline.
Is the fix still in the pipeline and not live? Because it happened again, I didn’t read an animate dead scroll this time but did read a different scroll. Thank you.
Still in the pipeline. You'll see the patch notes when it goes up, but it -may- take some time.
We are doing some major code restructuring that take priority.
I confirm. I have 3 Bard/3 Dirge on live (which I believe should give me 6 UCL), casted Awakening (tried both Zombie and Ghost) and still summoning tier 0 Undead.
I will add it here, so maybe more people will see it.
Current Workaround for that is to cast any spell (even cantrip) from Bard spell book to update your UCL

On Bard 3/ Dirge 10/ Cleric 3 Dirge of Awakening seems to overrule the HD limitation (It's summoning T5 + T4 rather than 2x T4).
On PGCC when I changed to Bard 4/Dirge 10/Cleric 3 I was able to summon T6 + T5 of summon.
For Skeletons on HD 17 I summoned 3x T5 and 1x T6 (Mummy Dust one)
For Abomination It was just T6
With Lasting Inspiration everything works as intended (T6 + T7 for vampires for example or T7 for abomination)
Overall, this looks still like a bug to my knowledge, but actually Dirge now have stronger summons than it should.
Additionally I noticed on PGCC, when I use Want of Bull Strength or Potion of Warding, the UCL is still lowered to basic (it persist through resting). When I cast cantrip from Bard spellbook it is as I described above. It also persist through rest.
Hi, I appreciate the effort towards fixing it and thank you, but I hate to report that I had the issue again summoning 0-tier undead, it was once again using dirge of awakening on a 3 bard/9 dirgesinger character.
Im able to summon what appear to be correct tier undead UNTIL I use an animate dead scroll. Using the animate dead scroll (which I’d do after if the awakening summons are killed) seems to be what is setting the tier to 0, or at least must be tied into it because if I don’t use a scroll I can repeatedly use awakening as normal.
Just reporting again because the update said the problem should be fixed. Thank you.
Clearly the only option is to remove undeads altogether.
