Recently I noticed that whenever my mage casts a spell against a Spell Resistant foe, they appear to receive up to 2 attempts to resist. If they successfully resist the first, they obviously don't get a second, but if they fail the first it will show something to the effect of the following in the combat log:
(x character) is casting Blindness/Deafness
(y creature) attempts to resist spell: failed
(y creature) attempts to resist spell: spell resisted
Not sure if this is just a case of something being misreported in the combat log, but it appears that SR is currently doubly powerful for NPCs.
