Re: Drow Sunlight Sensitivity

This is not an issue of balance. It's meant to be one-sided. There is a false equivalency of trying to inflict statistical penalties to surface-oriented characters in the same vein as they are to UDers in daylight. The admins have always maintained that monster races aren't meant to be welcome on t...

Re: Cargo Warehouse "Rat" Dungeon

Make sure the creatures have a unique resref/tag, and check any variables the blueprints might have placed on them. Check the trigger that spawns them variables too.

edit: To be safe give it unique resref/tag creature weapons as well.

What better way to celebrate Christmas and ring in the new year than a divisive mechanics change? I had asked the team if they could squeeze in a monk update too, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Re: Runic Chest Loot Change (?)

The devs purposefully (and rightfully) do not PSA these changes otherwise all the epics would flood these areas/dungeons in a last ditch attempt. Changes to the economy have to unfortunately be done secretly. Totes. However I think Runic Chests barely factor into the economy. With the exception of ...

Good update Money disappearing from bank account doesn't work for me - even if I know what it's supposed to represent, it feels too close to 'headcanoning closed a plothole' for me to enjoy I do not share concerns about grieving potential. Re: Potential Upcoming Healpot Nerf - Feedback Needed

Not by a mundane class. Sounds like a rock meeting paper? For real though, do the cons of mundane's not having IGMS counterplay outweigh the cons of allowing heal pot spamming? I personally do not think so, but perhaps others do. If it is a big issue, alternative defenses to mundane's can be offere...

Don't get me wrong, I do consider the way heal potions work currently is a problem. I just think, with the way IGMS spam can be done (among other things), it might be a necessary problem.
IGMS already has non-heal pot spamming counterplay

Re: Epic Sacrifice

Calculating inventory value really wouldn't take that much time. Definitely no more time than grinding 1 million gold (or one-hundred thousand, for that matter) would. I'm sure you understand that. 1) Grinding is entertaining 2) Withdrawing 1mil from the bank is significantly faster and more conven...

Could you give a more useful response than just those four words? Perhaps add an explanation? Provide reasons why? Because it's far easier to calculate that 10% in gold than it would be to calculate item costs and play inventory management before an epic sacrifice and my casual Snuggybear is gettin...

RE: Toxicity - As other's have stated, we already have a lot of meters, but I'll go a bit further and point out that on average, potions used by PC's in Arelith do not compare in mechanical power to the potions used by Geralt in The Witcher series that this toxicity meter seems to have been inspired...

This seems like something the grim yeeter was talking about -

Quarterstaves were busted, but the other double weapons were not.

So let's nerf Quarterstaves by going after the 2handed bonus (seems fair), but ALSO target the other double weapons (which was unnecessary).

just to clarify; winning a fight isn't enough to feel like a winner, you must have tangable, eternal and undeniable proof that someone has lost with the ability to whip it out at a moments notice for validation?
it'd be absolutely silly if you couldn't prove you killed someone

Re: Instant Cast Invisibility Purge

I think the main point here is this is a spell that should be in the offensive/dispel category. Which means it Should not be in the instant cast to simulate prebuffing category. It's fine to be in the normal list with a high priority. But instant casting cannot be interrupted or dealt with. It's le...

Cosmetic: Reverie for Elves

I think it'd be nifty if a -reverie command was added, or an option in the rest menu, for Elves to get the benefits of rest but instead of the current sleep anim/sound, it just plays the kneel animation!

Between that and the darkness bug that also does the same improved invisibility can feel pointless to cast lately. What bug? Instant Cast Invisibility Purge

My issues with this are as follows: 1) Under the assumption that the spell sequencer-esque instant casts for mobs are meant to simulate pre-battle buffing, which I'm totally for, Invisibility Purge is a short duration spell, even extended, and doesn't make sense to be lumped in with the other spells...

Notes are saved in your localvault folder and have the exact same name as your character. Tons of scripts in Arelith change your name. Crossing servers should not be erasing them.

This was originally implemented to counter the Weapon Swap exploit in 1.69. I'm 99% sure this was fixed in EE, so can we get a selectable feat that removes the penalty or something?

Re: Looking at the sorcerer on Arelith.

My main 'thing' with Sorcerers is that they have extremely limited spell selection and we added a bunch of spells - I would say adding a feat that allows to select an extra level 6, then 7, then 8 (separate feats like the auto-still/silent branch) would be helpful but they're also feat starved and i...

Thematically it makes sense for henchman and party members, and doesn't make sense for summons and enchanted creatures because those creatures are already under complete and total control*

* I don't know how Druid summons work canonically.
