This character has been ended after the Sunday event. Thank you for all the interaction. I had fun with everyone involved, but after today I have no plans to return to Arelith as real life demands my attention for the lengthy and foreseeable future.
Have a good game everyone.

Re: Player Review on: Arelith
Yeah. I've seen the character assassination problems here. Been a subject of it myself and accused of things I never actually did. My reaction was simply that I must be doing something interesting enough to warrant being character assassinated. That said, it's probably the single worst part of Areli...

Re: Undo the Dispel Changes
Thoughts on how dispel is in current Arelith Meta I don't mind if Dispel is improved for all casters across the board. Arelith players on the mechanics side often make these janky builds where they want to rely on using maximized magical buffs, or stacking stats. Being able to dispel that is fine i...

Re: Druid elemental forms are too strong defensively.
The forms are simply too durable was my point. Remove some DR, remove some AC, but increase their offense to compensate (Because their offense is pretty weak.) Crit immunity and immunity to all stuns, mind magic, and knockdown is a very potent perk. It should have suitable tradeoffs.

Andunorian Cage Should create reprecussions for attending.
The belt having a player's name on it was a good idea. How about we also make sure that when players fight the matches, they have to do so undisguised so it goes on the heralds.. How else would they get a belt with their name on it in the first place.

Re: Finding a Corpse Etiquette - Rez em, Give em back their coins
I don't really think you need to raise a random player if you find them. It's a nice gesture, but roleplay should take precedence. Respawn isn't really the end of the world. If taking the head makes sense, do that. If raising the character makes sense, do that, but I think treating the setting with ...

Re: To All who reside in Andunor
Naughty monsters? Where? All I see are very reasonable citizens. That want very reasonable things. Normal stuff, really. Respect, a fair wage, a belt made of the bones of your enemies, good fixtures, strong leadership. Really. Only lovely people. Nothing wrong here. What's so wrong with wanting to ...

Re: Vampire race.
Rogue 24/6 vampires are very very potent because they have few weaknesses. Barbarian Vampire are also crazy strong. The class has all the benefits of undead and not much of the weaknesses. (Bless weapon doesn't even work on them cause they don't actually count as undead).

Re: To Everybody that Once Stepped Foot(or claw or tentacle) on Skal (and the DMs) - Ultra Mastered Edition
I always wanted to try doing an 'expeditionary event' and the Palladium plotline was a perfect reason. It's likely I'll plan another one soon, with a more nautical theme. This isn't really possible without the other players who say 'Okay, let's do what this angry drow says'. So I appreciate that peo...

Re: Druid elemental forms are too strong defensively.
A druid using Monolithic elemental shape doesn't need discipline because it -cannot be knocked down or disarmed.- They don't need UMD because you don't use UMD in a polymorph anyway. It's not mechanically possible. They don't need tumble because they can just get Epic Damage Resistance 3 times, and ...

Druid elemental forms are too strong defensively.
They are absurdly durable with great AC, DR, and crit immunity. Might be worth looking at giving them the 'palemaster' treatment.

I'm assuming this regards camping. Which I understand. Otherwise could we please have a definitive announcement on what consitutes a "reset chest rush"? Is it five minute rl time, ten minutes? For the record I've only opened two epic chests in my pc's entire existence. Being punished, up to a ban d...

Re: To the Entire Population of Skal (and Titania)
Maybe that choice of image was easy to misinterpret, but the build-up was excellent. We had no idea about twelve people were about to come barreling into our (Badly) selected hiding spot. Titania has done a great DM plot that I hope more people catch unto.

Quality of life: Time Dilations between servers
For those playing drow or vampires, it's extremely frustrating to go from a server that just hit 20:00 to one that is at 6:00. It would be great if this was looked at where all servers had a coordinated time.

PG-13 and what it actually means based on definition
I've had concerns lately with how the perceptions of Arelith have come to inhibit mature or interesting roleplay. I've observed players and Dungeon Masters leaning towards the more "PG' side of things, which does not fit the Dungeons and Dragons setting as an ethos. I would like a mature discussion ...

Re: Arelith impressions.
I can agree with the RPR thing. While I suspect there is a detailed process and notes, it's hard to actually know what defines qualifications for high RPR. I only got mine increased by hanging around very prominent, very visible players, rather then what I thought was excellent roleplay. That said, ...

Worst Dungeon and Dragon's deaths.
I wish to hear all the horrible ways your character has died in DnD. I shall start: One time, my character fought an arena match for great power and prestige. His opponent after claiming he would defeat the arena master was an Ancient Sewage elementals. It cast Drown. He rolled a 1 and died. He lost...

Yeah hands off to you lads. Guldorand is like a mish-mash of frontier-politics. It's that dusty isolated town you find in every spaghetti western and that's why it's fun. With a stoic sheriff, and tired Mayor trying to restore order while everything burns apart around them, and an assorted motley ca...

Re: Share your RP and Writing Tips
Roleplay should be a collaborative experience. Improvisation means keeping the conversation going. Avoid closing phrases or 'No'. Instead try to incorrporation the 'Yes but' term into your roleplay. This helps build a collaborative breathing world. Affirm the other persons statements and build on th...

Sorry Evelyn. You are wrong in this instance. It's not about being 'forced into PvP.' That is like saying you are forced to play on arelith. I'm in agreement with this. Plenty of canonical ranger orders have nothing to do with nature dieties. A ranger is a woodsman, not necessarily a worshipper of the woods.

-Yoink is an already un-counterable spell that can be prevented only by a 3 feat epic tier spell focus. It cannot be stopped, or interrupted just prevented. Did we really have to necromance this thread? Portal lenses are one of the dumbest mechanics in arelith along with -yoink in their current state. They create impossible scenarios in which players get far too trigger happy to avoid the 1 round lens animation, or the roundless instant cast -yoink. I c...

Re: The "Personal Story"
I tend to create a very barebones beginning to a concept. The reality is what your character did before they arrived in the setting and module is not very important.
