Re: PG-13 Rule
To repeat what the original post here already stated : Arelith is far from PG13 if you actually look at what's happening on the server. Is that a bad thing? No, not at all. DnD itself is a cruel thing with lots of aberrations, undead monstrosities, evil people and worse that'd tear your throat out i...

Since this is feedback relevant to the recent seperation of immunities against sneak- and critattacks and Shadowdancers :

Re: Shadowdancer
Stealth movement speed along with access to rogue grenades would be a nice start. Perhaps access to the rogue pre-epic feats to gain access to edodge without cross class? However, stealth is very powerful in the meta atm. I just feel sds need a reason to go beyond the hips dip. There are plenty of ...

For flavor: Shadow conj at SD 9, Greater at 11, and Shades with Epic Shadowlord, on cooldowns? Bandaid on a bandaid: When the Shadow dies or is unsummoned, the Shadowdancer is automatically Shadow Evade'd, and their next-to-shadow sneak attacks linger for 1 round per SD level. (Increase to 2 round ...

Re: Shadowdancer
Awww damn. Here we go again. I think by now repeating that SDs should be a less summon-centric class is like beating a dead horse. SDs are cool on the server, no doubt. But I've always been advocating for a rework of the class, one that makes it a proper shadow-trickster-manipulator instead of the c...

Re: Racial Weapons - More variety?
Why does that one jewelry helmet recipe give +21 SR which does not matter at all at lvl 30?
Simple. Because it helps out with running throw lower level areas.

Re: Remove the 5% chance of dying in subdual
As a former halberd WM player I'd just like to add this : Such a HP pool that can go into the minus-values should definitely scale a bit with your character's level and base CON modifier. I once critted another player for over 300 damage with that halberd. That poor drow would've never had a real ch...

Re: Why Head Taking?
The worst post-PvP experience you can have is beating someone, taking their head and then recieving a speedy by that same character literally 5 minutes after you sent them to the afterlife.
Headtaking is useless in it's current iteration.

Re: Remove the 5% chance of dying in subdual
Here's another take (and basically a suggestion) on this : Subdual should first of all be possible with all weapons. Smashing someone's head with the guard or the pommel of your sword is not something that's out of the ordinary. Sure that'd not use the weapon to it's fullest potential and be less ef...

Re: Monster Creep and Dungeon Difficulty - Is it a problem?
You don't need a PowerBuild to solo most the epic content. A pure wizard/sorcerer, for example, with no optimised gear and no disc nor UMD can solo the entire server except from Paush. If there's something I'd like to see regarding epic dungeons, is at least one of them which necessary requieres a ...

Re: The Radiant Heart Badges are a Crux for RP
Yes, Arelith's Radiant Heart has a really bad PR. Loads of rumours. Some fact, some fiction. People that are giving any Paladin with a badge a skeptical gaze do so for good reasons. Further I think that it was a very unfortunate design choice to place Arelith's Paladin HQ a few loading screens away ...

Re: Finding a Corpse Etiquette - Rez em, Give em back their coins
From what DMs told me so far you actually need a player's permission to revive them, prayers or by spell does not matter. It's a reportable offense to revive someone without their consent. And about "bad etiquette"? I don't see why my character, a former sellsword and rather rough guy with varying l...

Re: Shadow Evade
Well, putting builds of people, the Shadow's guard mechanic and everything else aside to get back to the original topic and a question that I have about it for coders / devs :
Would it be possible to make the Shadow Evade less noisy and turn it into a toggle ability after X levels of Shadowdancer?

Just..Don't mess with nature. On a side note: Druids in elemental shape can't touch my nerfed Palemaster, Wich makes me feel that they don't need to be nerfed. Or perhaps Palemasters still have too much AC? What is already dead may never die. https://imgflip.com/s/meme/Roll-Safe-Think-About-It.jpg

Alright. To the two posts before me. What's your guess on how many out of a hundred active players actively commit such abuse of the system as you described it? 2? 5? Let's say it's an even 10. Ten out of a hundred active players have vaulted characters with which they log in once a IC year to not l...

Re: Citizenship, Settlements, Elections
This thread is ridiculous. I myself have some bad faith at times against some people and will openly admit that. Bad experiences can sour all future interactions and it's hard to forget some stuff / totally brush aside all rumours you hear about player or character X. But going so far as saying that...

Re: Druid elemental forms are too strong defensively.
You can heal with heal pots. Druid shapes are absurdly imbalanced and, not only that, it's not the most overpowered thing about Druids. Posts like this one are always lovely. You ignored the 3 massive previous posts that have tons of information, are well written and even offer free knowledge about...

Re: Shadow Evade
I didn't realize you can only get one shadow clone at a time, but since they auto-guard you (Edit: which, while we're discussing it, was taken away as an ability from every other summon in the game literal years ago), and clone epic dodge if you have it (you probably should, since you get all the f...
