Re: Ambassadorial District?
Thanks for that note, Scurvy. I hadn't realized the changes meant all that as well... Though that does bring up an alternative concern about who lives where. And I imagine the DMs can still discover if people are owning more than one residence/shop/guildhall... so less of a concern with that.

Re: Ambassadorial District?
That was part of my thought toward the embassy. Also, owning property in Cordor requires you to be a citizen of Cordor (certainly a laudable requirement!)... but that rather defeats the purpose of being an ambassador of a different settlement. Plus, it's not the way real ambassadors work.

Ambassadorial District?
I'm putting this here and not in suggestions because I'd like to see others opinions before formulating a direct suggestion. I'd also welcome comments from Mith, Iron, the Devs, and/or the DMs. So, I'm unfamiliar with most of the inter-settlement politics. I've never had a character desiring a polit...

Re: Anyone have Disciples of the Phoenix info?
From the NWN2 Wiki: Disciples of the PhoenixEdit Associated deity: Kossuth Alignment: Lawful good Multiclass as cleric. The Disciples of the Phoenix are unusual lawful good Kossuthan monks. They are extremely disciplined and take some of their beliefs to painful extremes. Its members avoid casual co...

Re: How do you reach AC 60?
As long as I am doing the math correctly, P Three has given you a +41 to AC. Add +1 from dodge-enhanced boots (only way to get dodge AC from the basin, I believe) and you're at +42. You would then need a +8 between armor and shield to get to AC 60. As a cleric, you can already wear Full Plate (itsel...

Re: Terrifying Rage
Not to sound snarky, but I don't think Ogres are covered under "Person"... I think you'd have to use the Monster spells against them, i.e. Hold Monster and Dominate Monster.

Re: Settlement Leaders & Assassins
Having just read Ferret Roll's Harper suggestion... is there a way to perhaps employ the Harpers (or another group) as a concept of "good-aligned" assassins? People who take on the role of bodyguards (not just Cordor Guard, but actual bodyguards) and who are authorized to attempt to hunt down member...

Mith, you rock. I figured, with Iron's response, that there wasn't much that could be done. I thank you for whatever adjustment you did. I'm looking forward to building this Paladin and hopefully having a fantastic story come out of him.

Re: Paladins and Disease
The problem, Ork, is that in the spell type, it is listed as a disease... and it is bugged so that a Paladin/Monk/Epic Level Character who thinks they are immune to all diseases are not. And it's a 3rd circle spell. Thake, thank you for the suggestion about Negative Energy Protection. I had not yet ...

Re: Paladins and Disease
It is that boss, and it is a nasty ability. But the save is against disease, and more than once I had an "Immune to Disease" pop up in my right hand log, which is why I asked the obvious question.

Germany is great! I didn't read Blackest Soul's post... but my family has a family friend who lives in Munster, Westphalia. Small city north of Cologne. A friend of mine and I spent a week there a decade ago (I turned 25 in Germany... it was a good trip!). Munster itself has the Peace Hall where hal...

Paladins and Disease
So, I've branched off from my Kelemvorite fighter and I've started playing a Paladin. I haven't gotten to the zealot stage yet, and I'm trying to improve my personal RP. I do have a question, though, and I don't know if it's a bug or not. Paladins are immune to disease, it's a class feature at level...

If you're planning on hitting central Europe, make certain you try to make your way to Lucerne, Switzerland. Beautiful town on a lake, and there's a monument there in a former quarry dedicated to the Swiss Guards who lost their lives when the Tuilleries Palace was overrun during the French Revolutio...

Rivace, I understand your frustration with the RPB system as well. I was around for about 6 months with my first character, RPed as best I could with people and started to develop a character... had nothing. I was bumped up to an RPB of 10 after my character was left to rot in jail for the better pa...

Re: Why do you play on Arelith?
I was introduced to it by a friend... and I like the FR campaign setting. Said friend also plays on a Star Wars server (or did) and plays on Sinfar... but the idea of having to download extraneous files just to play a game bothers me. And I like the pure rule set. I'm also a huge fan of KotOR, fwiw.

Re: Character Age
I believe (and I am very likely wrong here, but I think I remember this correctly) that the penalties and benefits of aging are misstated in the OP. Granted, I usually play 3.5ed PNP, but I believe the chart is: Middle age: -1 STR, DEX, CON; +1 INT, WIS, CHA Old Age: -2 STR, DEX, CON; +1 INT, WIS, C...

Re: Crafting Points Bug
Had the same 0/50 to 50/50 issue... not a big deal since the points showed up. Tarlan took Gift of Crafting, however, so he should have 60 points, not 50. Haven't checked Ahmose yet, and Tomas doesn't have the Gift.

Re: Mechanical Questions Questions and Questions
Characters... don't really have a CR. Because you're not supposed to be attacking your allies. An NPC's CR is usually their class levels + racial modifiers. Some races have really high modifiers (I think minotaurs are a +8) and some are lower (fairly certain Drow are +2). What D&D leaves for the DM ...

If it gets too extreme, you may have to pull a re-install of the game. I had a week where I tried literally everything short of a re-install because I couldn't connect at all. Finally re-installed and everything was working again.

Artos, glad you were able to dig out! Even in VA we got a bunch of crazy snow! I think I dig the low saturation map better, it just seems more "old-timey" and "gamey" to me. Also, I am now looking forward to purchasing one.

Re: Why Stealing the Treasury is a Good Thing
You could take the independent bank situation a little further, too. Want to take your money with you? Get a letter of credit from your bank. Settlements at odds with one another? You can't use your letter at the settlement your settlement is at odds with.

I've got to say, Yma offers a rather insightful way to make the treasury useful... if it can be implemented in game.
