Re: Ele Avatar Live Release Feedback Thread

Elemental DI is a bit of a weird choice. If you are choosing Fire stance to protect yourself from Fire, all the fire-type mobs you are presumably fighting are likewise going to be ignoring your fire damage in turn. It would need to be fairly sizable percent to really factor into any decision-making.

Re: Ele Avatar Live Release Feedback Thread

Unfortunate. I'm not sure going from 52 AC to 55 would have been particularly overpowered, but it certainly makes Conduit still the superior choice. I tried swapping them out and doing a familiar dungeon and had to abandon the run before the boss because it was plainly worse. End game PvE mostly ign...

Re: Ele Avatar Live Release Feedback Thread

I don't seem to be getting AC or damage dice on unarmed attacks. Build is 27 defiler 3 monk. Does the AC not work with monk builds?

Re: Would like to see -setclass or -setstat return in some form.

These need to come back when the team has zero compunctions about massively overhauling classes and breaking characters. The animus towards long term characters is extremely unhealthy for an RP server in my opinion. I am still dreading the future monk overhaul and not being able to effectively rescu...

Re: Shop Tax

For every IG month that an item does not sell, tax 10% of its listed value from the owner of the shop. That way there is a disincentive from letting things sit forever, people need to be more attentive to pricing-for-sale as a result, and glorified storage gets actively punished. Everybody wins exc...

Re: New Overheal VFX are (Maybe, Possibly) Very Distracting

I love it. Absolutely perfect for my shadowy healer thematically, and the changings colors are very useful to -my- autism in regards to knowing how much buffer I still have. It is useful information that I use to make quick decisions in combat. Please leave it alone.

Re: Monk Overhaul Feedback

Still hoping for a pass on this entire idea. Again, keep the current chassis, throw some flavored paths on top. Voila'. Chef Kiss Yeah. It'll break my main pretty badly and it seems...overcomplicated without getting a lot of value out of that complexity. I feel dread, not excitement, for this rework.

Re: Settlement Election Integrity

Terms limits are just ignoring the will of the settlement population and are undemocratic. Punishing leaders for being good at it is a bad idea. The constant obsession with character turn-over, be it the sacrifice system, the unrelenting class changes without a single damn given about the characters...

Re: Summon Adjustments

Give all summons nice DR and decent AC. Then strip the damage right back so that is HAS to come from the caster. It's almost TOO simple... This is the way... ...but the caster has to actually be able to do that damage over a long period of time. You would also need a more balanced PvP option to go ...

Re: Sailing requirements are too much

I think introducing Sail as a mechanical skill -at all- was a mistake. Let people that want to do the content do the content and call for mundane ability checks that require having at least a vaguely balanced adventuring party and leave it at that. Presently, hundreds of hours of dev time have gone ...

Re: Assassin & Application: Thoughts

You don't want the meta PvP build of the month having the guild perks. Having the settlement shift mechanic tied to a specific class means that the devs can keep it on a leash. While it might seem paradoxical to have "assassins" be middle of the road killers instead of the best, its a necessary prot...

Replacing speedies with contract illusionists across the board would be a huge immersion upgrade. Also, PO boxes for people without doors to pin letters on, please.

Re: Vampiric Feast feedback

I took this spell for the thematics and have used it maybe two or three times in the year and a half the character has existed. The friendly fire is the deal breaker, mainly, I can never justify the damage to summons or party. I would love to see it reworked entirely, I feel like its premise and fun...

Re: ELEMENTAL AVATAR PGCC FEEDBACK

I think tying it to spell foci when it is intended for melee builds is strange. Clerics are very feat starved. The builds I were testing did not have room for spell foci.

Re: Herbalism Drinks - Fresh Mead and Yarrow Beers DO NOT STACK

Balancing around inventory inconvenience is an...interesting decision on an RP server with an already bloated crafting system. All those journals and notebooks and RP gifts and mementos are now, per design decision, a legitimate hindrance to character power. Probably not the precedent you want to be...

That'll drain you out faster than you think. The battle cleric I run with is usually out of piety by the end of a long dungeon without the help.

Re: ELEMENTAL AVATAR PGCC FEEDBACK

It seems to go a long way towards making a warpriest using a 2-handers much more viable than they are presently. I don't think its yet better than default cleric and using the two-hander from behind Conduit, but its much more fun, at least.

Re: New Monk Discussion - Design, Concept, Mechanics, Roleplay

I swore off monks after the first rework broke my main character so horribly that she had to be rolled out of her misery. Three PCs and several years later, I'm back on a monk, and regretting it. I don't think the rework will break her, but it is certainly looking like a nerf on an already middle of...

Re: ELEMENTAL AVATAR PGCC FEEDBACK

This is a death trap in end game PvE, if you're considering a battle cleric using a two-hander. Most PvE mobs have some sort of elemental resistance, so you're going to be doing not very much extra damage, but you're still going to pull aggro on the entire crowd and get obliterated. The AC and regen...
