Re: Pure Swashbuckler, epic level feedback
On the topic of gearing, it'd be great if you could use your Parry shield AC while holding a buckler, so that you don't miss out on an entire gear slot's worth of perks. That or some other Swashbuckler-only offhand item that allows it. Sorry to bump after 9 days but I just thought of it. Hey that's...

Re: Woodland scout AA, need some help here
2, 12ranger 18AA, pure archer, no tumble, not sure if I am going to miss the 3 tumble ac I think an even number of AA offers you very little in this build. You don't get the +1 Attack/Damage from Arcane Archer (that comes on the Odd Levels) and your class skill options are limited, as are the HP ga...

Pure Swashbuckler, epic level feedback
Just got my first swashbuckler build character into epic levels. "only the first attack in a 'flurry' can be parried" thing is a real setback... I think maybe if an epic swashbuckler could somehow have 50% concealment effect added against attacks from his current target or latest attacker (in the sa...

There exist shadow doors (or there used to be) where if you acessed them, and had high enough certain skill minimum, you could find and access if you knew were to look. Does this pertain to things like... transitions out therein the mod that are not shadow-doors? small hidden transitions.. like shor...

I am almost to 20 on my Swashbuckler, so going to list some comments. Re: Climb skill
back in the days of 3rd (and 3.5) 'climb' was a skill you had to invest actual skill points into. -Same with "Use Rope" It was a Class Skill for all martial classes, and cross-class for non-martial classes (Maybe an exception in there iirc) Now that we have hacks... it might be cool to be able to us...

There's not nearly enough hidden spots in mundane wilderness places. I can say this from experience of meticulously prodding every edge of every wilderness area looking for that hidden spot. I remember Artos writing once that he was always surprised little hidden areas he had built long ago h...

On the other hand, the RP of the server and that of elves will be vastly improved as well as the settlement being much more popular. Myon used to be jam packed of Elven players. Bendir Dale (Trader's Route) North of Tungston Turret, following path of signs to Greyhammer. Re: Do you have a Long Running character? If so Why?
I have a couple long time characters. One character who is was retired early this summer was started in AR71. The ranger, Orion Stormwood. I've shelved Orion twice before, while I focused on other characters... including an AA that I played as a main from AR105 to 121. I've played some other alts up...

Re: Skal - Western Tundra Package - Where is the hermit?
I recommend scouting it out before accepting it. You don't want to be tied down with a heavy package unable to run and not know exactly where you're headed.
The Tundra isn't "THAT" big, so have a wander. You'll find it. It's not hidden (very well)...

The IG feat description says:
Once per round you will attempt a ride check to increase your Armor Class by 1 point for every 5 of the check result.
Use: automatic
that was what I have been going on... but looking up in the RIDE-WIKI page of the Arelith Wiki it doesn't mention this.

1. Is Acrobatics Skill Mastery an instant action, or a standard action? 2. Second Intention and Feint have a "once per round" trigger - does that mean their cooldown is 6 seconds? Or, could you Second Intention at the 3rd flurry, and then right after at the 1st flurry? 3. Second Intention/Feint bot...

sounds like you just happen to get caught up in someone else's PvP... that the RP and rules and such may very well have been followed by them for their intended target, and you just happen to be caught up in the radius. The fact you ended up dead is a very rare thing, and had you -not- ended up dead...

Reminder: There was a time when Totem Druids were so strong, you barely ever saw a non-totem druid build. I particularly liked playing Lawful Neutral Rangers... not caring so much for good or evil, but holding up the Laws of Nature!

I've always been jealous of Bendir's ability to lock their gate. It just gives me such a cozy feeling. Same as Myon's mythal back in the day before everyone knew how to bypass it. I like the feeling of getting back to town and actually feeling a bit safe. At least if it's a little racial settlement...
