Are we allowed to bypass the level restriction via out of party?

http://forum.arelith.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=19200&start=200#p157895 I mean, of course it isn't. You're deliberately being obtuse here. Nobody has answered you yet because you're asking an incredibly stupid question. Why would high levels playing with lower levels be against the rules? The develope...

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

I just want to know if, since it's now in-game discouraged, so much that doing so blocks all progress, playing with someone higher level then you is against the rules or frowned upon. I mean, if it's such a big deal that it blocks your XP, should I be doing it at all? Should I even be RPing with lo...

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

On-topic, I entirely support the reason why this change was implemented, because it's super frustrating to go to a dungeon alone or as a group for some juicy XP, only to find that someone or several someones has their high level buddy blasting through stuff which would blast your XP gain down to a ...

Re: The dragon shape rework

As somebody who has played a druid for the last seven months. And uses Dragonshape a lot, I cant honestly see a reason to buff it further. Only thing I would possibly do is buff the breath DC to scale with Druid levels. Its how you use the Form, Its by no means weak. But it should not be a Crutch t...

Re: Unique Weapons

Yeah sorry I don't really see a reason to give the best, most versatile race, most populous race, racial weapons.

Most of which they can use anyway with UMD.

Re: Unique Weapons

I thought the thing was with humans being the best and most populous race, they didn't need a 'human' weapon

I personally like that some races are just better at some things then human, and making better blacksmiths is just a good part of the server.

There's been 5%s in the past that involved nothing but mechanical power.
Tiefling comes to mind as well. It's your race with +2 to con and +2 to two other stats via bloodline and gift, plus your base races racial perks.

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

It may also just be that helping people lower level then you is not intended play and is in fact frowned upon in the same way urgently doing dungeons is; a subtle nudge from the game itself that such behavior is strongly frowned upon. Will I be docked RPR for doing something unintended or undesired ...

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

How do I wrap my RP around a lower level character saying they need help with a specific Umber Hulk or Harpy boss when my helping them results in them not actually being helped

What is gained in this situation?

Can we revert the change please?

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

I feel that this thread is extremely important, and would prefer if people would lay off the personal attacks and stuff, so that doesn't get locked and we are at all forbidden from speaking about it again.

Re: Town Criers not performing paid ads?

Perhaps speedies and town criers should repeat back what was said before delivery to prevent confusion and allow players to proof read or notice a message got cut off.

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

My level 23 just stumbled on a group of mostly 19-20s, and it looked to be the start of a great adventure together! Nope. I had to leave the party because I was blocking everyone's progress and then uhh... went off to solo, because that's really all that's immediately available. This is really un-f...

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

And I agree with you.

It makes no sense, is unwanted, and doesn't solve any 'problem.'

The only way it solves a problem is if grinding is one of the goals this server has; only if grinding is a core pillar of arelith does the grind deserve to be 'protected' as it is here.

23 Fighter/7 WM Kensai (greatsword) -- It's meta, but I thought when they removed Kensai... Kensai'd be "removed". Didn't happen. The fact of the matter is, these are zones I'm in anyways; and nobody would argue my character -isn't- effective if they see her working -- it doesn't invalidate my argu...

Not letting a 30 be your meatshield is not the same thing as "being required to solo".
Just don't be in the group as the lowbie you're helping do writs with and keep them on -guard. Make sure they act like it's dota and last hit.

Bada bing bada boom. This is whats happening now.

Re: "A member of your party..." (Writs feedback)

I don't, in all honesty, understand why something was done to an already great system. I understand there's a lot of double-talk with decisions that come down and systems that do the opposite of what they should, but this change just frustrates me. 1. Grinding is discouraged, is pretty boring, and e...

Re: Can shops and quarter ownership timers be paused until portals are fixed?

There are places you could be where you can't get back. Red Dragon Isle, for example, is only accessible by a boat, or by portal, or if you're an UDer, if you have a really specific thing, then you can get to another area of the server where again you can only leave by portal. Blackfin Island is th...

Or "Hey mate, We should join forces, what's the hardest writ you've done?" ...

Re: The dragon shape rework

You also have full casting, dragon knight, hellball/ruin, other summons, tons of regen, bear buddy, SOV, utility spells, etc

Why do you need to be equal to a dedicated melee when you have all that other crap going on?

Even the impressively stated dragons don't have anywhere near the damage output of warriors
