I think you just need to click the spot that appears (without using the lasso on it) to get a dialogue that lets you climb across.

It does indeed negate miss chance. However, the epic fey pact blast perk is intentionally a bit weaker since the pact has a greater focus on its spell selection (which is greater than that of most other pacts).

Not just backpacks, but also wings. While testing, I've realised that winged races spawn wingless tribal henchmen, which in some cases simply made no sense.
If you'd like to workaround the new functionality, consider the steps mentioned above.

To my knowledge, we have no plans to grandfather the old model or add more fey models at this time. However, Twohand and I have been experimenting with character-specific animation overrides that would let Fey use a fly animation instead of running.

It might be worth comparing necromancers to conjurers with regards to item casting. A Conjurer that uses a scroll of Summon IX receives an elemental without epic caster level (ECL) scaling, as the item's CL is 17. Also, the loss in AC could be partially mitigated by taking 3 levels in a dodge class. I suggest moving the free APR from 27 to 28 to have some counter against that. That's an issue with the "GetNextObjectInShape" function of Neverwinter Nights. Not much we can do on our end besides using a quite elaborate workaround that then limits the abilities to targeting creatures (rather than creatures and placeables).
