Re: Player 1 Control IGNORES All Hide/MS/Invisibility on Target

The AI of spawns and summons will follow you, but may not be able to see you. If you stand still for a moment, you'll find that they come up to you and then just stop because they can't see you. Not the best idea during PvP, because your location is still identifiable when they stop. It's one of tho...

Bugged: Unconcious>Pray>Dead>Lose XP

A bug occurs in this scenario: A character falls below 0hp, is unconscious and losing hp per round. Player uses -pray to save themselves. XP is lost due to being in combat, the divine intervention costs piety (was at 100%) and the feedback is that you are granted a greater favor. You stay at the sam...

Re: Racial character resizing not working

Seems like any type of resizing isn't working in the Arelith entry areas, for any new character, including the +/- 5% resizes.

Derro/Wild Dwarf - Evard's damages small models

Small creatures are usually immune to Evards, but the resized models of Derro and Wild Dwarf (which are counted as small creatures) still get damaged by Evards. The spell is likely triggering damage based on the model, not based on scaling size. One way to fix it might be to add immunity to the spel...

Racial character resizing not working

When trying to make a Derro, Surface/C&P/DS all do not resize the character at the point of accepting the subrace. The +/-5% later works, but the original resize does not.

Someone mentioned on discord they had a similar issue with Ogre.

Re: RPB Requirements for rewards

I think it is a good change. It doesn't really affect anyone until they've been on the server for quite a while, and by then the DMs will have had enough time to view and raise their RPR as necessary. If RPR has been lowered, maybe it is time to think about the reasons why and try to improve! (Which...

Re: Portal Lens won't trigger if cross-server destination

I've tried that. Over the last week, any portal lens I've used across multiple characters hasn't worked. Logging into the other server to try and trigger it has put me back on the original, in the place where I lost the portal lens.

Portal Lens won't trigger if cross-server destination

As the title, the portal lens gets used up, but nothing happens. Relogging doesn't fix it.

Re: Is Elemental Swarm Fun?

I love it. It is always a great backup to have ready, if you're in a party. If you're not in a party, it is probably the go-to for many areas. Adding to this is if you're in a totem pact, which leads to wonderful swarms.

Re: Pirates in Cordor

You could always have a mixture of PC enforcement and mechanical scripting. For example, guardsmen with enough spot/lore might call out 'Watch out for that guy, he's sporting pirate tattoos!'

Maybe NPCs should react differently to pirates if they have enough spot/lore.

Re: PvP and the Dislike action

An issue that seems to pop up a lot is that people don't always receive a message saying they've been set to hostile, even when they have been. If people use ! commands via a tell, it sets the singular person to hostile but does not send either player a message about it. ! in chat, ! in tell, settin...

Re: Monk items

I'm playing a pure monk right now. It's the strongest thing I've ever experienced on Arelith. It is well-geared, ridiculously powerful, hasn't even had to ask permission from his master to go beyond 10% power.

In FR, Divine Champions don't have to be the same alignment as their deity. They're more free to follow their own compass rather than sticking to the dogma of churches.

- Bashing the spam, trash binning 1/24hrs

Re: Bluff vs Perform, wich one is better for a warlock?

You need bluff. The only time you should take perform instead of bluff is when you're playing a bard.

Bluff is:
- for disguises
- to overcome exiles
- to enter places protected through conversation menus
- other conversation perks

Perform is:
- for disguises
- not used anywhere else on the server

Rangers get so much extra stuff on Arelith already. You can totally go Archer Path, be a melee-ranger, and still lose nothing by swapping between Sword + Board and a Bow.

Re: Enchanted Shield, LOL

I think this shield is ridiculous. Many of the recipes are well thought out, but these incredibly nested ones are just needlessly complicated. They become so much effort that they're not worth the incredibly marginal gain you get by having one. On the other hand, some of these recipes are absolutely...

Re: Monster Creep and Dungeon Difficulty - Is it a problem?

I've played many different kinds of characters. WM's are very easy to PvE with. They are not reliant on mages to be around. You really only need kits and essences and you're golden. Here's a really simple guide for strategy that works in all PvE as a Weaponmaster: Put mouse over enemy. Click enemy. ...
