Re: Life is a victory march; the gone priest

Vance was one of the most memorable characters I’ve ever interacted with. I was just telling a friend of mine about him the other day. I think I jinxed something... :(

Re: Atlantahammy, Astra Starlock.

Atlantahammy puts a ton of time and effort into what she does and it shows. She's like a reliable force of nature that helps storylines and plots advance, even the ones that she's not directly a part of.

Re: My View on Arelith

Make the task of entering the Middledark from the surface something difficult and reserved only for the truly brave or truly foolish. However maintain the back door exits for monsters to reach the surface in order to play out raids and slaver runs. I am in no way suggesting andunor should be off li...

Re: Nevrus' Awful Guide to the Wacky World of Alignment

Enjoyable write-up! I like reading other people's thoughts and opinions on the alignment system and the intricacies of the nine alignments. What are your thoughts on the extremes of law/chaos and good/evil? I usually don't see articles about alignments discuss what happens when someone goes too far ...

Re: Why are we not allowed to talk about the server on the forums?

Coincidentally enough, I sent a long message to one of the DM team regarding this topic a few days ago. I'm kind of curious how many people are holding back on sharing their thoughts because of the likelihood that they'll get harassed (both OOC and ingame) or dismissed because they share the same co...

Re: Spellswords and GMW scrolls

I think mine got a similar error, and mine's not a gen 1 spellsword.

A workaround I found is equipping the weapon and then targetting myself with the GMW scroll.

No idea if this has already been posted, but:

The wiki says that Svirfneblin start in the Great Grotto.

Ingame, Svirfneblin are offered Andunor or Brogendenstein for start points.

Swap the Withdraw/Deposit entries in faction bank dialogue

In the dialogue for personal banks, Withdraw is the first entry and Deposit is the second entry. In the dialogue for faction banks, Deposit is the first entry and Withdraw is the second entry. Just seems a little odd that their orders are reversed. It's made for some awkward "wait, why is all my mon...

Jadoth wants to wring Mach's neck and hug him at the same time. For now, he'll settle on sits.

Mach is like a salad - delightfully refreshing, saucy, and well-seasoned. (Maybe that's what the S in his name stands for)

Looking forwards to more intetractions.

Re: I Still Have No Idea What I'm Doing: A Wayward Elf's Musings

I've never liked Myon. Stone shouldn't fly. Stone is cold and unfeeling, unmoving, silent in the ground. Stone is rigid and unchanging. Stone is blank eyes over a blank smile on a blank face. Stone is literal and figurative walls put up to protect something from the terrible world outside, or to pro...

Re: What do you seek in an antagonist?

I like antagonists that have more depth than "My stat sheet says X, so I must Y, no exceptions ever, because X defines my character's personality." I like being able to learn the reasoning behind the actions. I like seeing remorse and regret and the questioning of one's own beliefs. I like when bitt...

There's an issue that sometimes pops up where a crafting station doesn't recognize the item(s) placed in it as the items needed for the recipe. I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

They usually look like cauldrons suspended over a fire.

I think you can also make a campfire which will open up the Herbalism crafting menu, but you need a Firewood item in your inventory for that.

"It is very dangerous for you to be here" glitched text

A DM said I should take a screenshot and post it in the Bug Forum.

Walking up to the gates of Cordor in the Farmlands zone made this text pop up in the combat log and was told it's a glitch.

Re: The Cordorian Blight ~

I think the very nature of how plagues work might play a large part of why it felt so difficult to get involved or affect things - plagues tend to have a large impact while, at the same time, encourage keeping participants to a minimum, thanks to the fact that plagues are contageous and getting more...

Re: The Cordorian Blight ~

But no dm quest should be fixable within two secons by someone clicking the 'hellball' button. On a more serious note: I think there's some responsibility on the players in regards to getting other PCs involved - it's not entirely on the DMs here. Sure, a level 30 weaponmaster could clear out...

Re: The Cordorian Blight ~

Plague events have a nasty habit of *affecting* everyone, more or less, while only actually involving a small handful of player characters. Sitting around wearing a facemask while waiting for more involved/"important" PCs to fix things isn't exactly fun. A few years ago, there was an event that cau...

I’m not sure - haven’t done much with disguise in a while, even before the portal changes. I just know that my characters’ original login names show on there, regardless of what I log in with.
