Does anyone has a good roque/monk/shadowdancer build?
Preferable unarmed. I have this one build, but it was made like 4 years ago, and I don't know if it's still up to date. Can someone help? Starting Stats: (These are for an elf, so minor adjustments for Human. Make sure to keep DEX on an odd number however, and your highest stat.) STR: 8 DEX: 17(19 b...

Re: Multiclassing
Allright. I find that insulting because I RP my skill dumps, it's a core aspect of my character. My character even went out and found a trainer to learn how to do it. I don't know what character do you play, which is not important by the way, but just for example: You're a wizard that takes discipli...

Re: Multiclassing
I'm just saying, most people here defend skill dumps because you can RP it - and I don't agree, skill dumps are not RPed correctly and used in a RP way - they are only done because mechanically it's possible, and you need them to powerbuild your character, simple as that. I'm didn't say that it shou...

Re: Multiclassing
Yeah but probably it's the skill dump that's an issue. If you gather a lot of skill points just to put them all into f.e. discipline in your epics, well that's simply weird. You're a master wizard but feeble like a leaf then overnight, taking dump in discipline with proper class, you can take a bull...

Re: Multiclassing
I feel that in PnP multiclassing is always a fun and good idea because you always must RP it somehow, feel into that character etc. Unfortunately here, while there are brilliant RP'ers, most players just take dump classes and don't act accordingly. I guess that's a disadvantage of a multiplayer vide...

Writ system
I was thinking about possible change to writ system, since it's still controversial and I usually meet people on my way in dungeons that outlevel my writ thus we cannot go further together creating possible fun RP, without being left with no reward. What if - it's not exploit free, but much exploit ...

Re: Heavly restricting portal lenses: discussion
Personally, I'd leave them as they are. They're not that cheap to buy them in bundles, also not that expensive to consider if I can afford a lens, or better buy something else instead. From my point of view of a casual player, I use lens probably more than a regular player, due to high risk of havin...

Re: Critical Feedback...Discord, Bans and Feelings.
I honestly think this thread shouldn't be open for discussion. In a weird, twisted way WE as a community now harass this hacker person, even if we're not using strong language. I don't say he/she doesn't deserve it, just that we're crossing the line of not talking about some other person here. In my...

Re: Should we consider recanonizing how death works
As for the why some people die and some return, the best reason I heard IC which my PCs now follow is that the wall is nothing to do with us. Kelemvor has trapped some monster that exists in death in the labyrinth and it stalks through it, those who don't come back either chose to pass the wall or ...

Re: High level difference play.
What difference does it make for you guys if someone is level 1 or 30? Even if he/she leveled super fast overnight with their buddies? They play together, have fun together, in most cases having close to none affect on your character. PvP? Oh my, someone is better, but their character is only real t...

Weapons variety
As it is known, rapier and scimitar are the most popular weapon of choice of most melee characters, but frankly, they look silly with most melee characters. My suggestion is, make every weapon of same size - also same base damage and crit range. For example Tiny: 1d4 crit 18-20x2 (smallest damage so...

Re: Spell components - metamagic
I thought metamagic feats let's you cast spell without components usage, that's why I got still spell to cast 8 circle spells. Well, now I know it doesn't work that way, shame I haven't found information about it before.

Re: High level difference play.
Why not just keep it simple. If you have a character in party that is too high level, gain just adventure XP, no normal XP (both from monsters and writ reward). It's so easy to gather money on server that it's irrelevant, so I'd keep it as an enough reward for completing the writ + adventure XP. I w...

I didn't call anybody silly, just the idea, and I keep that opinion. If anybody feels offended by it, sorry.
I am aware of small XP bonus in Taverns, maybe it's good, for sake of gathering a group? I don't know.

Sorry but that's silly. What about people who RP a lot far away of towns? Where you are doesn't matter, what you do does.
