Re: Arelith Map!
This is really cool. I would totally buy a poster sized one of these suckers if that was a thing. BUT, in response to your input, Indifferent Person, since changing the hills at this point isn't as fun, are there places of interest that you can think of that would be appropriate to add? I really wou...

If your talking about this, the 1.69 soundset/portrait unlocker, you want to unzip it into the override folder.

Re: Sword Coast Legends
The Standard or 'Solo' Edition pre-orders are for those hearty players who want to take on the adventure on their own. They can still play with friends who also purchase Sword Coast Legends, but the pre-order only comes with one game key. The Campaign Editions come with one game key for you and fou...

Re: Bashing "Abandoned" Corpse.
The original topic was asking about bashing corpses that were clearly abandoned by the owner when they logged off. Is there really a need to go into the debate on how in itself bashing is evil? Depends. There have been some really insightful posts that are specifically about corpse bashing, but lea...

Pinging The DM Channel When going about to get the attention of a DM, be up front and polite. Tell us what you need as in a nice little one to two sentence request into the DM channel. Don't just send a; "Hey, is anyone around?" or a "Hi!". If you want a prompt response, or one at all, make sure it...

Re: Bashing "Abandoned" Corpse.
There are alot of things that are repeated on Arelith. From plots, treasury robberies, to people coming back from the dead. We have to suspend our disbelief for many of these things. Just because we know people can just respawn does not mean that our characters should not kill them. Just because we ...

Re: Bashing "Abandoned" Corpse.
I try to assume that any PvP I get into my character will loose their head. It makes things far more realistic for me. I am not advocating that you always chop, chop, chop. Just saying that knowing you will have to respawn makes you consider backing down, makes you consider something other than the ...

Re: Assassins and initiative
So the general concurrence is... No initiative feats? Yes. An assassin is not a good strength class Opinions being like noses, I believe that mechanically a DEX sneak attacker is always stronger going with rogue. Rogues get Epic Dodge, Epic Dodge makes DEX builds. Couple that with the possibility o...

Re: Assassins and initiative
It does matter, BUT there are many other things that matter more. That sounds cryptic, hrn. Let me try again. The times it will matter is when you pull "Artemis Entreri". AKA you talk then straight up fight. So if you are building an Assassin that will go toe to toe with folks, where you rely on get...

Re: Haks and Overrides (Not Required)
EvilBrage left me to respawn once because of his stuuuupid Haks. Anyways, that's the only thing I've seen from the environmental changes. They sometimes make it impossible to get to a chest or a fallen companion's corpse.

Re: Why Stealing the Treasury is a Good Thing
As boring as it is to say alot of the issues with robing the treasury come down to the players of those involved. For the perpetrator: is the motivation behind the robbery the coins or is it the RP? For the cops/officials: are you putting a real priority on paying for detective types, info, really l...

Re: Familiars: Design Theory?
I have to agree with Lorkas and Scurvy on this one. The mark was over shot on familiars and companions. Headway is being made to correct this, it may just take some time. Personally I am not a fan of companions/familiars being able to handle anything above low-level traps. I'm personally not a fan o...
