Re: UMD question
i just dont understand why one class cant let another do something well and rely on them. When i play a rogue i sure as hell dont try to be a tank, when I play a tank, i dont try to sneak try to open locks or doors except with a sword. make a 3 level dip just that, if your a level 3 rogue thats what...

Re: UMD question
does it really nerf chars by having to interact with other chars? I add my vote for keeping timestop and truesight and other big top tier scrolls and wands out of the hands of melee classes. In regard to the language issue, push thieves cant back to the level 5 to eliminate the dipper from knowing i...

That even with our best interests at heart, the staff who give up amazing amounts of time trying to make this the best sandbox to play in, still hear us when little things would hurt even the most casual of players the most!!

pvp death idea
the new update has a stacking system, but why not do the same tied to those who win pvp when its not in an arena style such as happened tonight for "training exercises" it seems everyone is worried about players who are bad sports only powerbuild to be the "winner" so how about the winner taking the...

Re: PvP Death System
Arelith doesnt have a problem with people running out and dying in pvp a lot. Arelith has a problem with the same people rolling up the most powerful builds they possibly can and roaming in groups to kill other roleplayers for little to no reason. Then maybe those people should be the ones reported...

Re: New Death Penalty
Death should be harsh. Death should suck Games should be fun bye when you play a game, there are rules and penalties and consequences in regards to certain actions, being in jail sucks in monopoly but its a risk you take when you play, knowing eventually you will get out. its all part of the game a...

Re: Quests And Filling out Dungeons
this is from other servers and they had these quests find my ring, find my heirloom, rescue my child etc. the one major drawback is you have these quests and then your characters do these quests, but then you have to think why does this women lose her child to the same monsters every hour I left ser...

Re: Looking At Arelith Through The DnD Lens.
Bhaal appears to be alive in Arelith's setting. Zarus is like, a greyhawk god. (Murlynd WHEN) Arelith's a homebrew setting, simple. Anyone familiar with 3rd edition FR knows what that is, especially.. God, about 17 years since 3rd Edition released. I gotta go feel old now. actually Zarus is a gobli...

Re: The future of Cordor
in one regard being in the dark so to speak of what is going on lets you find out as you go. A new arrival from the mainland would not know much save they are sailing to cordor, and as it takes weeks to sail news would be out of date. now there are some message boards in the entry and in your journa...

changing this because it would come across very wrong
some comments made show some players havent been to cordor since the big update as there is no lower ward anymore or slums for that matter.

Re: Looking At Arelith Through The DnD Lens.
there is one RP aspect of things we have not mentioned and it is another non pvp way to handle conflict. Bok was chasing a werewolf and at the time he didnt know that the said char had gotten to wolfbane so in his mind he was still the same human who shifted the night before and had to be beaten dow...

Re: Looking At Arelith Through The DnD Lens.
the DND lens is given for us already. for instance, if we see a group of goblins that are red do we pause and ask if they are mistreated goblins who need a hug. no we see they are monsters and we kill them without a second thought. just because one may show up blue, why all the sudden does that make...

technically they are the surviving drow houses only because they werent in the flooded areas when the cataclysm hit. However those that do recall they were both heretic houses, not in any hierarchy whatsoever

If your an outcast, your /home/ should be the underdark , you are more welcome there. However you may still visit surface settlments.

That brings up an interesting question. Why arent the other two way portals locked out. make the portal chamber the only way to get back would definately make the UD more menacing.

Re: Question for the Devs
The only thing i have ever seen has been those I assumed were outcasts on my UD char, and then saw them on a surface char walking about cordor like its nothing. i had thought if your outcast you were not allowed in surface places save perhaps sibayad. If not what penalty is in place when you can be ...
