Re: Wizard or Sorcerer. What do you/would prefer to play and why?
What I like about Wizards is the amount of things I can do... in general. pick three, hells why not four epic spell focuses and meta-magic. Intelligence is a very good stat to have a lot of. Languages, lore, skill points. The biggest difference better the two is mostly that the wizard brings a lot m...

Re: Radiant Heart Ring is Ridiculously Powerful
When you say you can take four of the following (6) properties. Do you mean you can take +1 stat multipul tims to different stats and, say, +2 universal as the fourth?

Re: Epic Mummy Dust
Every other key summoning spell has streams, should we do the same for EMD? It seems a bit harsh that good aligned casters get nothing worthwhile summon wise after level 17. Just a reminder that undead summons (except dracolich) dont scale with epic caster lvl. So at lvl 17 I'd say the ancient elem...

Add the speedy sound
When the speedy arrives to deliver a message there will be a sound emote of Hello or something better, but the idea is that we are less likely to miss the speedy while in a crowded screen, fighting, crafting or alt-tabing.

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
Thanks everyone! I would give 20/21? monk/ 4 fighter and 5 SD a try! I just don't know when to take what, so if someone can help me with that I would really appreciate it! :) I'm assuming human. str 12 dex 16 (+2 gift, +7 from lvls, +1 great dexterity = 26) con 14 wis 12 int 14 cha 8 second major g...

Re: Arcane Archer - Craft Arrow Bundle?
I try to look at it as a tax for playing archer. You have to at least multi-class ranger or suffer. How is that any different than the UMD meta that we all want back? You had been taxed to take rogue or bard in all of your builds.... or suffer. Now that UMD is not longer an issue, even more so there...

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
I guess i never cared for perfect self and still salty about sr and speedcaps. Also having the extra attack from pre epic ab versus activating flurry of blows is effectively 3 more ab which is a big deal when you are doing 7 attacks. With speedcaps and breachable SR i see little incentive for 20th ...

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
I also see the thing about feat starvation. I would take these as mandatory. EWF: Unarmed ESF: Discipline Epic Dodge + (?) That's what I meant when I said you still CAN take 4 fighter pre-epic. I'd say the final feat there should be armor skin OR great dex, depending on your dex score. A human monk...

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
As Astral has said, though, I think 20 Monk/5 Fighter/5 Shadowdancer might be the new overmatch in the post UMD era. Assuming you take at least 4 Fighter in pre-epic levels, it has (compared to the 20/10) +1 AB, +1 Extra attack, +3 Fighter Bonus Feats, +1 Fighter AC, and HiPS. (You could also reaso...

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
Depends on weapon style. OP says unarmed. 16monk/ fighter or ranger/ 10 rogue This is a terrible advice. Builds with 20 monk lvls were always considered superior to builds with 16/4 spread and I dont see how that's any different now. Losing perfect self for 1 apr on a character that can already rea...

Re: Most Optimal Monk Build?
The cookie cutter builds are, for now, considered obsolete because of the big change to scrolls. Its really impossible to say right now what is good, mostly because there are expected to be following updates. For myself, I shelved the monk and left it at lvl 2 and I think I'm going to wait and I rec...

Re: The Bastard Sword
a shield doesn't give you the temporary ab penalty Yes I forgot that part. Good point. It might worth to consider that a standard two weapon also gets +2 ab, so yes you effectively drop an attack in that round but if you can survive that round without the +6 ac from a shield, then from the next rou...

Re: The Bastard Sword
Right now, if I weapon focus on one handed edge and I use bastardsword, there's no reason for me to ever use it two handed instead of, say, a greatsword with higher base damage. What I suggest is: All weapons that fall under more than 1 weapon category should receive the relevant bonus to all catego...

Re: Ultimate Skaljard Feedback Thread
I think the biggest problem I have with Skal (that indirectly effects the progress of the writs) is the gigantic size of the screens. It means getting to places takes really long time. I feel like going from Skaljard to Eingvalir Crossing takes longer than going from Cordor to the tower. Within the ...

I noticed it with -fetch. Its not a huge deal with -fetch. But I'm really glad to hear it's universal thing for other cooldowns, or will be. I can think of some abilities that can really use that green floating text. Its amazing. thank you.

Re: Arcane Archers and Zen Archery - Should they get free ammo?
Arcane archers should definitely get free arrows but perhaps they should be different than standard arrows. I'm thinking maybe something like elemental damage instead of physical and a compensation of +1 damage because physical > elemental. Then. at 11th AA lvl a fourth type of arrow with even more ...

Re: Arcane Archers and Zen Archery - Should they get free ammo?
Arelith ammo system has always been a source of frustration to archers except for rangers who became the go-to archer because of the arrows. I think arcane archers should get the same ability as rangers at class lvl 1 (iron), 5 (steel), 10 (demask).

Re: RPB Requirements for rewards
As grumpy cat said, the flaw (probably the only one in my opinion, after reading the comments above) in the ruling is the difficulty for players in those really weird time zones. For myself I can say as EU time-zone player that DMs are pretty much around from the afternoon and forward into the eveni...
Re: Monks
After seeing a pure monk in action, yeah its uncounterable, or almost. Should it be nerfed? maybe... probably. Should anything except pure 30 monk be nerfed? Absolutely not. Its not a secret that I play a monk. My monk already got nerfed once so pure monks can thrive. I dont want to see it nerfed ag...

Re: RE: Crit / Sneak Seperation
This is really neat for PvE. However with PvP in mind there's a particular class that really should get looked at, Pale Masters. They should either be sneakable, but NOT rogue-holy grenadable (This makes most sense from a lore perspective and is better balance-wise) Or sneak immune and rogue grenad...

Re: Monk builds
The only downside I see from this is the fact that it takes up your glove slot, and not your weapon slot. As a result, you can't actually enchant keen or mighty on it as you normally would for a weapon; which leaves you with a +1 ability score as your only real option. A really minor nitpick consid...

Re: Monk builds
you dont really need a build layout for this. 30 monk lvls essential feats: expertise, improved expertise, blind fight, weapon finesse if dex based, weapon focus unarmed. Essential skills: discipline, hide, move, tumble. You will have plenty of free skill points and feats to play around with. Do not...

Re: Can we talk about: The minmir cave?
On the 5th lvl of the cave I always get 100 to 0 in one round by missile storms. Havent been there for like a month so maybe it was tweaked in the meanwhile but the OP is not the only who got rekt by missile storms. I suggested before that these missile storms become lesser storms instead of greater...
